The wall mirrors Horizon by Normann Copenhagen are the latest work of kaschkasch, the designer duo always in search of the ideal hybrid between function and aesthetics. With their simple geometric design, kaschkasch's mirror variations create a poetic play with reflections.
Horizon is a series of wall mirrors in different geometric shapes, each of which integrates a steel shelf. The shelf is both a practical storage surface and a beautiful visual effect.
"The idea came when we folded paper models, thinking of the line of the horizon that you see by the sea. Seeing the doubling in the mirror is a playful and in some ways poetic experience," kaschkasch said of the design.
The reflection in the mirror adds depth to the horizon of the steel shelf. Objects standing on the shelf are doubled in the mirror. With very simple means, a sophisticated and interesting impression of spatiality is created.
Horizon is available in three variations: horizontal and vertical mirror in the form of rounded rectangles, as well as a smaller, rounded mirror. The shelf has a matte powder coating in white, gray or delicate light blue.
