The PLUMEN energy saving lamp is the first designer energy saving lamp worldwide. The dynamic, sculptural shape contrasts with the ordinary shapes of conventional energy saving bulbs. The lamp is such an eye-catcher that one would like to do without any lampshade. Like any high-quality energy-saving lamp, PLUMEN saves about 80% of energy and also has a lifespan 8 times longer than conventional light bulbs. PLUMEN fits into any standard socket and emits a warm, white light. The set includes the matching ceiling mount for the PLUMEN Designer energy saving lamp with a neutral socket and a 2.5 metre long textile-sheathed cable.

Designer info:

Samuel Wilkinson creates interesting and lively designs, always looking for a dynamic approach to form and function. In 2002 Wilkinson completed his studies in furniture and product design at Ravensboure College of Design & Communication. During his studies, Wilkinson won various design awards, including the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) Design Award. After completing his studies, Samuel Wilkinson began working for renowned companies such as Tangerine, Fitch:London, PearsonLloyd and Conran. During these years he worked on successful projects for these companies: British Airways, Audi, LG and Samsung. In cooperation with the product design company Hulger, Wilkinson designed the Plumen energy saving lamp for the English company Plumen. This was awarded the coveted Brit Insurance Design Award in 2011.
