The PLUMEN energy saving lamp is the world's first designer energy saving lamp. The dynamic, sculptural form contrasts with the ordinary forms of conventional energy saving bulbs. The lamp is such an eye-catcher, that one would like to do without any lampshade. Like any high-quality energy saving lamp, PLUMEN saves around 80% of the energy and also has an 8 times longer life than conventional light bulbs. PLUMEN fits into any standard frame and spreads a warm, white light. The matching ceiling mount for the PLUMEN Designer energy saving lamp with a neutral socket and a 2.5 meter long textile covered cable is included in the set.

Designer info:

Samuel Wilkinson designs interesting and vibrant designs, always in search of a dynamic approach to form and function. In 2002, Wilkinson graduated in furniture and product design from Ravensboure College of Design & Communication. During his studies, Wilkinson won a variety of design awards - including the RSA (Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) Design Award. After completing his studies, Samuel Wilkinson began his work for well-known companies such as Tangerine, Fitch: London, PearsonLloyd and Conran. During these years he participated in successful projects of the companies: British Airways, Audi, LG and Samsung. In cooperation with the product design company Hulger, Wilkinson designed the Plumen energy saving lamp for the English company Plumen. This was awarded the coveted Brit Insurance Design Award in 2011.
